Welcome

If you are interested in sharing your experience giving birth during the COVID-19 pandemic, please

CLICK HERE TO BEGIN THE SURVEY

This survey is part of a research study investigating how childbearing people make decisions about how and where to give birth during the COVID-19 pandemic.  If you gave birth in the United States on or after March 15, 2020 and are 18 years of age or older we would love to hear from you!

After agreeing to an online consent, you will be asked some questions about yourself and your births to determine if you fit within the study population we are seeking.  If you meet these criteria, you will be asked to complete a brief (about 10 minutes) online questionnaire.  All your answers are confidential and will not be shared beyond the research team.

Part of the questionnaire will ask if you are interested in sharing your birth story with us in an interview or small focus group.  The approximately one-hour interview or focus group will  be via telephone or a secure version of the Zoom app.  If you are not interested in doing the interview, that is totally ok!  Sharing your experience through the confidential questionnaire will still be very helpful.

Please share a link to this page with your friends, family, colleagues, and clients who may be eligible to participate.

Meet the Research Team

We are a group of midwives and researchers at the Yale School of Nursing.  Our diverse academic and personal backgrounds have brought us together to try to understand the experiences of people giving birth. The pandemic accentuated many problems in our maternity care system in the U.S.  We are dedicated to hearing from people who gave birth during this time as the first step toward improving healthcare services for all.

Thank you for your interest in our study,
